Ray Geagan

Mr. Geagan is a captain at Fire Station 37 and 18 year member of Orange County Fire Authority.  He got his first exposure to unions that came directly from his father and uncle, who held elected offices and appointments for the Service Employee International Union (SEIU). 

Mr. Geagan started as a Director and began to educate him on how to do the best job possible. He positioned himself into a great opportunity where he is currently serving as Vice President.  His primary focus is maintaining current wages, hours and working conditions.  He works alongside three other members of the board who represent employees in grievances and disciplinary cases. 

Mr. Geagan is also fostering the commitment from the next generation of leaders among Orange County Fire Fighters. He believes in collaboration and commitment which can lead to great possibilities in the future.

“A large part of the success of all our careers has been the involvement of Orange County Firefighters in the mission of Orange County Fire Authority” Geagan said.
