Rick Cornell, honored to serve you as Vice President of Local 3631, brings a natural skepticism and attention to detail when dealing with union politics and relationships with management.

His experiences while serving in Local 3631 as an active member, Trustee, Director, Secretary, and Vice President has affirmed his role as an advocate for the membership in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable work environment. As the son of a union plasterer, he has been exposed to labor and union issues his entire life. Fire union exposure started with IAFF Local 1014 in 1979 as a firefighter with the El Monte Fire Department.

In 1981 Rick moved to the Orange County Fire Department, still with Local 1014, transitioning to the OC Fire Authority and IAFF Local 3631.

He is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a number of great men and women while performing as firefighter, engineer, paramedic, and captain.
