Director Emeritus Jeff Williams was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Claremont. He began his fire service career in 1971 as an Upland firefighter, and in 1975, he transferred to the California Department of Forestry, where he continued his career as a firefighter in Pomona. Williams was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994 and was head of OC Firefighters public relations. As director, and in coordination with Treasurer Emeritus Dennis Shearn, Williams founded the Fallen Fire Fighter Relief Fund. Throughout his ten years of service, he acted as liaison for the fund and organized, conceptualized and supervised fundraising events. As liaison for the widows of fallen firefighters, he arranged accommodations and transportation to national memorial events across the country. After retiring from the board in 2005, Williams has been seeing Europe, building furniture and getting ready to watch his grandkids grow up.
